WWE still lives in a world of Kayfabe, which is increasingly difficult thanks to the presence of social media. Despite that, WWE tries to stay inside their bubble and keep any in-ring information regarding their wrestlers private.

Here's the tough part, the WWE Universe can now talk to their favorite stars online through a variety of social medias. This adds something extra to WWE’s programming because it means that WWE’s fans feel like their favorite superstars are accessible.

At the same time, this also means that any secrets WWE holds are quite hard to keep because there are cameras everywhere and there are people listening, who are ready to leak whatever they hear or see online. Not a day goes by when a story isn’t leaked about WWE when it should have stayed private, as many dirt sheets now have some inside sources.

The following is a list of secrets that WWE wanted to remain private but somehow they have managed to be leaked through the magic of cameras and live TV.

12 12. The Wyatt Family’s Magic

Back when The Wyatt Family were feuding with Roman Reigns, they decided to try to take out all of Roman’s friends as a way of sending a message to the Samoan star, and on one episode of SmackDown, it seems they managed to do so.

Jimmy Uso managed to go from the top rope up to the top of the ramp where he was choked out by Braun Strowman, in a matter of seconds.

It was later revealed that Jimmy actually jumped down and hid under the ring while his brother Jey was actually brought out with The Wyatts, which is why his face was not shown during the segment.

11 11. Wrestlers Rehearsing For Matches

Wrestlers are truly actors but in the world of Kayfabe they are not allowed to reveal that they are playing characters. It is a well known fact that WWE is scripted and that superstars often rehearse their matches ahead of the live event in order to make sure they put on a show.

WWE are strict about superstars only rehearsing when all fans are out of the arena and that any video footage should not be leaked to the public, but the following video has been leaked online and it shows Undertaker rehearsing for a segment with Paul Bearer.

10 10. Real Life Couples

WWE often puts superstars together as couples on their TV program and they expect the stars to play the role so well that the WWE Universe are questioning whether the couple are a real life couple.

This seemed to be working well for Rusev and Lana until WWE broke them up in favor of Rusev and Summer Rae, along with Lana and Dolph Ziggler. WWE had plans for them going forward until news of their real life engagement was leaked to TMZ and the whole storyline then had to be cancelled.

9 9. Vince McMahon’s F-Bomb

It was reported a few months ago that Brad Maddox was released from WWE for using language that was not considered appropriate for a family show.

Occasionally, there is a time when stars like Paul Heyman and Stephanie McMahon drop a swear word, but it is never anything that WWE can’t pass off as an inflation of emotions.

On the Raw following Fastlane in 2016 when Shane McMahon made his huge return, Vince McMahon’s emotions were definitely inflated when he addressed his son and dropped the F-bomb in front of the live audience. The word was dubbed out for the TV crowd, but the video was released online to show that the rules obviously don’t apply to Vince.

8 8. That Raw Script

Back in the Summer of 2014, another scandal was brought to WWE’s attention when it seemed that a cameraman or one of the commentary team had left their Raw script unattended and a fan took pictures of the nine-page script, causing it to go viral.

The script showed the way WWE put their shows together, as well as the fact that a lot of the promos that many fans thought were delivered “off the cuff” or “on the spot” were actually written down on the script for superstars to learn like lines in a performance.

7 7. Referee’s Helping Superstars To Blade

Blading in WWE was said to have been a punishable offence after WWE introduced their PG Era and any stars who did would be fined.

This all changed at WrestleMania 31 when Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns collided in the main event. The duo had a very physical match that saw Brock bounced off the steel post before he began bleeding profusely.

It was then shown in slow motion that Brock never actually came into contact with a post, but earlier in the match it looked like the referee gave Reigns a blade to hand over to Lesnar.

6 6. Creative Team

WWE Network has been one of the best things that WWE has created in its history for many reasons, but there are also reasons why it could be a bad idea for the business.

The Breaking Ground NXT show was one of the biggest hits for the Network but the show completely destroyed anything that remained of Kayfabe by showing the WWE Universe how storylines are created, who creates them and provided a deep insight into the challenges of being a professional wrestler.

5 5. Edited SmackDown Crowd

WWE won't admit it but it is a well known fact that the company heavily edit their SmackDown tapings.

The show is presented live on a Tuesday night before it then goes out to the world on Thursday nights. The WWE crowd rarely reacts the way WWE wants them to and decide to give heat to superstars that WWE doesn’t want them to dislike, as well as chanting for stars that are no longer there.

To avoid showing any of this to the world, WWE actually edits the crowd to make them sound the way they would prefer.

4 4. The Kliq Break Kayfabe

The Kliq were one of the best known factions in WWE history and following Scott Hall and Kevin Nash’s transfer over to WCW in 1996, WWE wanted the two stars to take their bow and leave inside the realm of Kayfabe.

It seems the faction had other ideas, as they decided that following the match all four members would then embrace. The four stars where not supposed to be friends on WWE TV but they were in real life. Triple H was actually punished for the incident since Shawn Michaels was the Champion at the time and WWE no longer had any influence over Hall and Nash.

3 3. Roman Reigns Blood Capsule

As part of WWE’s main event on the Raw following Fastlane in 2016, Roman Reigns was beaten down by Triple H.

This beat down saw him bounce him off the announce table a number of times before he was seen covered in blood. Many though that WWE would punish Roman for bleeding on live TV because it no longer fits in with their PG banner.

The truth was then seen in a video that was later leaked online, it shows Byron Saxton actually handing Roman either a blood capsule or a blade so that he can create the blood that was then seen on live TV.

2 2. Sin Cara and Kalisto’s Entrance

Sin Cara and Kalisto joined forces in NXT and became The Lucha Dragons, they have had a lot of success in NXT and were promoted to the main roster where Kalisto is the current United States Champion.

That being said, the two have enjoyed their success thanks to their characters and one of the biggest parts of this is their entrance. Both men run down to the ring, jump over the top rope and flip or roll into their usual position.

But the WWE Universe were not supposed to find out that there was a trampoline involved in the entrance. Regardless they did after this video was leaked online.

1 1. Superstars Loudly Calling Moves in the Ring

WWE Superstars John Cena and Paige are thought to be the worst candidates for this because they talk so loud during their matches that the live audience can actually hear what is coming next.

It is a well known fact that sometimes superstars rely on calling their match in the ring and a lot of the time they manage to hide this from the WWE Universe. But even though it might be hard to hear everything that's going on inside the ring, when you can, it sometimes ruins the illusion.
